Welcome to Empathic Edge (“the App”), an AI-powered platform designed to support skills development in negotiation, communication, conflict resolution, leadership, and emotional intelligence. By accessing or using Empathic Edge, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About Empathic Edge

Empathic Edge (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides:

• AI-powered negotiation and communication training
• Scenario-based exercises and modules
• Skill assessments
• Leadership and conflict resolution tools
• Educational materials for growth and professional development

3. No Legal, Medical, or Therapeutic Advice

Empathic Edge is an educational and training platform only.

Not Legal Advice:

• Nothing provided in the App, including AI-generated content, modules, assessments, exercises, or messaging, constitutes legal advice, representation, or the formation of an attorney–client relationship.
• Users must not rely on the App for legal decisions, analysis, or actions. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for legal guidance.

Not Medical, Therapeutic, Counseling, or Mental Health Advice:

• Empathic Edge does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, counseling, therapeutic, or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• AI-generated outputs should not be interpreted as mental health guidance or crisis support. If you need medical or mental health assistance, consult a licensed medical or mental health professional.

If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, call your local emergency number or a crisis hotline immediately.

4. User Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information, maintain confidentiality of your login credentials, and be responsible for all activity on your account.

5. Subscription Plans & Payments

We may offer:

• Free plan
• Edge+ subscription, with monthly and yearly billing options
• Group access and partnership arrangements coordinated directly with our team

Fees, billing cycles, and features are disclosed in-app or on our website. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled prior to renewal.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in misuse of the App, including:

• Reverse engineering
• Harassment or abusive content
• Inputting harmful, defamatory, or misleading information
• Using AI outputs to cause harm, harassment, or misinformation
• Violating intellectual property

7. Intellectual Property

All features, content, software, trademarks, and training materials are owned by Empathic Edge or licensed to us. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or organizational development.

8. AI-Generated Content

Empathic Edge uses artificial intelligence to generate training content and responses. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI outputs may contain inaccuracies
• Outputs are for educational purposes only
• You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use AI-generated content
• Outputs are not legal, medical, mental health, or therapeutic advice

We disclaim all liability for harm caused by reliance on AI-generated information.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Empathic Edge a limited license to store, process, and display your content for the purpose of operating the App. We will not sell your personal data.

10. Privacy

Use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains our data collection and handling practices.

11. Third-Party Services

We may integrate with third-party providers such as payment processors or authentication services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party tools.

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” We make no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not guarantee:

• Specific training outcomes
• Accuracy of AI-generated content
• Uninterrupted service

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Empathic Edge is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI outputs
• Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflicts of law. Any legal disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts of Texas.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
